Before building anything of my own, I placed myself at the intersections where systems meet people in clinics, classrooms, research settings, and reform spaces. I was there to notice and study what functioned, what fractured, and why. What began as groundwork became orientation. It now shapes how I lead not by intervening at the surface, but by building conditions that sustain change from the foundation up.

Work

FOUNDATIONS OF PRACTICE

Research, Assessment & Workplace Mental Health

Led school-based emotional literacy workshops for students aged 9–12 as part of the Sukoon Project, a government-school intervention focused on emotional development. Collaborated with school staff to embed wellbeing content into daily pedagogy; supported group facilitation, workshop assessments, and longitudinal tracking, reaching over 500 students

Contributed to psychometric tool development and mental health strategy at Knowledge Bridge Consulting, a psychological services firm working with corporate clients. Co-created case formulations and employee wellbeing plans under the supervision of two clinical psychologists. Facilitated mental health awareness workshops and supported content generation for digital public education campaigns.

At Fortis Healthcare (2023), I trained under the direct supervision of a senior counselling psychologist, gaining close-range exposure to the functioning of psychological systems in both OPD and IPD settings. My clinical engagement included observing therapy sessions, designing case studies and individualized treatment plans, documenting comprehensive case histories, and participating in structured simulations to refine therapeutic communication.

Beyond clinical observation, I independently conceptualized and assisted in facilitating over 25 psychoeducational workshops across hospital, corporate, schools and government spaces. This dual exposure to both therapeutic nuance and institutional implementation formed the early basis for RIHA’s method, system-aware, culturally alert, and clinically grounded.

Adolescent Wellbeing & Emotional Literacy

Mental Health Campaign for Obesity Care

At Fortis Healthcare, I designed and led a mental health intervention embedded within the hospital’s bariatric and weight-reduction program reframing obesity not as an isolated medical condition, but as a complex psychosocial experience shaped by stigma, emotional stress, and structural silence around body image. The intervention introduced a dual-track intake protocol: alongside physiological data, patients completed a structured psychosocial questionnaire I developed to trace mental health history, body shame narratives, and key emotional triggers behind weight fluctuation. This allowed clinical teams to detect underlying affective patterns from trauma-linked eating cycles to depressive withdrawal and to move beyond reductive treatment models. I facilitated patient conversations, synthesized insights for the care team, and offered tailored psychoeducational tools to support emotional self-understanding. The campaign culminated in patient-directed strategies for stress management and therapy pathways, repositioning mental health as a central component of care; impacting over 200 participants in two cities Mohali, Punjab and Kurukshetra, Haryana.

In 2023, I worked with the editorial and production team at Radio 94.3 MYFM to develop content strategies that embedded mental health advocacy into mainstream media narratives. My role bridged research, scripting, and live dialogue co-creating segments that tackled stigma, normalized help-seeking, and made psychological language publicly accessible. I was featured across multiple broadcasts as a youth voice on mental health. This experience sharpened my understanding of how mass communication shapes emotional literacy.
